Thanks for Amazing Grace

Saturday I had the honor and privledge to be part of the Stroll for Strong.  This annual fundraiser for Golisano Childrens Hospital has grown tremendously over the years.  Ten years ago 700 people attended. This past Sat. 900 ran the 5K race while another 5000 strolled Genesee Valley Park on a steamy Sat. morning.  It was inspiring to see so many walking in tribute to family members who have been helped and touched by the fine work done by the incredible staff at GCH.  THANK YOU seems to be not enough.  I wish I could give a hug to all who showed their support, including the Johnson and Esposito families.  Jennifer Johnson did a wonderful job as Master of Ceremonies to kick off the stroll with her husband Vinny Esposito who rallied many to walk in memory of the Amazing Grace Esposito who we lost far too early in life.  Grace continues to show her support for the many caring people who were by her side at GCH as she inspired so many of us to be there Saturday.  Without her, and the generous love and support of her family, the Stroll for Strong would not have been as huge a success as it turned out.  We will continue in her memory and honor this Thursday with a celebration of Grace at the Strathallen Hotel.  The public is welcome to attend for a donation of $75 to the hospital.  We will toast to Grace with summer beverages and tasty snacks from 6p-9p.  Little Grace continues to help her pals at GCH and it truly is an honor to carry on her legacy!  God bless her family and God bless our troops.
