Heads up for "Spiderman" movements today.

I'm sure Main. St. workers and vendors are looking forward to finishing up filming over the next 2 days so life and work can return to normal.  Today is certainly not a normal day as streets will be closed in two seperate areas of downtown, switching from morning to afternoon.  Here's the areas affected:

Wednesday, May 8 morning street closures include:

  • Main St. from Plymouth Ave. to State St.
  • Church St. from Plymouth Ave. to Fitzhugh St.
  • Montgomery Alley from Church St. to Main St.
  • Pindle Alley from Church St. to Main St.

Vehicles will not be permitted. Pedestrians requiring access to buildings along these sections of closures will be directed by Rochester police officers and/or film production company staff (who will wear identifiable credentials and be posted at intersections).

Wednesday, May 8 streets that will have local traffic only access in the morning include:

  • Church St. from Fitzhugh to State St.
  • Fitzhugh St. from Church St. to Main St.
  • Fitzhugh St. from Main St. to Broad St.
  • Irving Pl. from Main St. to Broad St.
  • School Alley from Main St. to Broad St.

Vehicle and pedestrian access to buildings, parking lots and garages on these streets will be permitted.

Wednesday, May 8 afternoon street closures include:

  • Broad St. from Plymouth Ave. to South Ave. Buses will continue to operate on Broad St.
  • Exchange St. from Main St. to Court St.
  • Main St. from Plymouth Ave. to South Ave.

Vehicles will not be permitted. (Vehicles leaving the Main/Exchange/Broad area within the street closure will be assisted by RPD.). Pedestrian access to buildings, parking lots and garages will be permitted.

Wednesday, May 8 streets that will have local traffic only access in the afternoon include:

  • State St. from Andrews to Main St.
  • School Alley from Main St. to Broad St.
  • Irving Pl. from Main St. to Broad St.
  • Fitzhugh St. from Main St. to Broad St.
  • Basin St.
  • Aqueduct St.
  • Graves St.

Vehicle and pedestrian access to buildings, parking lots and garages on these streets will be permitted.
