Despite its title, "Bankrupt!" is expected to make Phoenix flush with chart success. According to "Billboard," industry sources estimate that the French indie rockers' latest album sold about 50,000 copies last week.
That would be the best sales frame of the band's career, and would also likely put them in the top five on the new Billboard 200.
Phoenix previously only got as high as number 37 on the album chart with 2009's breakthrough effort "Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix." But "Bankrupt!" will probably be kept from the top spot on the Billboard 200 by new albums from Michael Bublé and Fantasia. The new tally will be revealed on Wednesday.
