The Arctic Monkeys are enjoying the view from a new height on the Billboard 200.
The Britisher rockers' latest studio effort AM opened at number six on the album chart after selling 42,000 copies last week. The feat marks the band's highest chart ranking yet and their second best sales week.
Their sophomore album Favourite Worst Nightmare debuted at number seven with 44,000 copies back in 2007.
Meanwhile, AM's lead single "Do I Wanna Know?" moves up to number 39 on "Billboard's" Alternative airplay chart. The track is the Arctic Monkeys' best-performing single since their breakout hit "I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor" peaked at number seven in 2006.
