Arcade Fire is asking critics of the band's so-called concert dress code to "please relax."
The Canadian indie rockers took to Facebook Wednesday to explain that the instructions to "wear formal attire or costume" at their upcoming tour stops are "super not mandatory."
They simply thought it would add to the "fun carnival" atmosphere of their shows if everyone on stage and off was "in it together." The band added that the costume party gigs they recently put on in New York, Montreal, and other cities have been the best they've ever played.
Arcade Fire's "Reflektor Tour" is scheduled to start March 6th in Louisville, Kentucky. Tickets go on sale this Friday, November 22nd.
