3 Doors Down have canceled a handful of tour dates in the wake of bassist Todd Harrell's arrest on a vehicular manslaughter charge last week.  The band announced Monday that they were calling off their next four shows in the U.S. - including stops in Louisiana and Tennessee - "out of respect" to the victim, Paul Howard Shoulders Jr., and his family.

Police say Harrell was driving drunk along an interstate in Tennessee late Friday night when he clipped Shoulders' pickup truck, sending it off the road and down an embankment.  Shoulders died later at a hospital in Nashville.  Three Doors Down have also posted their condolences on their website, saying that they are "deeply saddened" by Shoulders' death.  They added that their "hearts and prayers go out to his family and friends at this difficult time."

Three Doors Down are scheduled to resume touring with the start of their European tour on May 31st in Moscow.  They'll return to the U.S. July 5th to kick off a co-headlining trek with Daughtry in Solomons, Maryland.  In the meantime, Harrell is due back in court this Thursday.
