Xerox tower sale complete; company will lease space for 8 years

Rochester, NY -- Xerox Square has officially been sold. Spokesman Bill McKee says the purchase agreement announced in March was finalized today.

The new owner of the office tower and the adjacent annex is 100 S. Clinton LLC, an affiliate of Buckingham properties. The Xerox Square name wont change.

Xerox says it is leasing the building for 8 years, with an option to renew, and expects to be a longterm tenant.

The building had been on the market for several years as the company pursued a sale and lease-back arrangement to get out of the real estate business.
