Woman charged in LeRoy stabbing

Police in LeRoy have charged two people after an argument escalated into a stabbing.

Police said Nicole DellaPenna and a relative named Edward McDonald got into an altercation with several other people. A car window was broken, and DellaPenna pulled a knife and allegedly threatened others with it. Police said she then stabbed the victim in the back.

The victim was taken to the hospital with a potentially seriious but non-life threatening injury. DellaPenna was charged with both assault and weapons posession. She was sent to the Genesee County Jail on 15-thousand-dollars bail.

McDonald was charged with criminal mischief for breaking the window.
