Two people were arrested on animal cruelty charges after leaving their dog
in a parked car at Eastview Mall.
The Ontario County Sheriff's Office said deputies were called to the mall
after people reported a dog in distress without water or ventilation. After
investigating, they charged Annette Irwin and Alberto Garcia Sanchez with
confinement of an animal in a vehicle. The sheriff's office said the Fishers
Fire Department measured the internal temperature of the vehicle at 137
Both were arraigned in Victor Town Court and the dog turned over to the
Ontario County Humane Society. Irwin and Sanchez were sent to the
Ontario County Jail pending bail.
