Patterson Named to Fill Warren's Former Seat on Rochester Council

Rochester, NY -- The Rochester City Council has named a familiar face to fill Mayor-Elect Lovely Warren's vacant council seat. The Council has unanimousy selected current County Legislator Michael Patterson to serve as the Northeast District Representative on the Council.

The choice comes after a three-week search in which the Council invited district residents to apply and approached the Monroe County Democratic Party for suggestions.

The Council is scheduled Tuesday to take a formal vote on Patterson's nomination.

An election will be held in November 2014 to determine who will serve out the remainder of the current term.
