New SU Chancellor Is Irondequoit High Graduate

Syracuse, N.Y. - An Irondequoit High School graduate has been named as Syracuse University's new chancellor.

Kent Syverud earned his bachelor’s degree from Georgetown, a law degree from U of Michigan, and a master’s degree from U of M in ’83. He has been dean of the law school at Washington University in St. Louis since 2006.

Syverud will succeed Nancy Cantor early next year.
