More Aid for Rochester in State Budget

Albany, NY -- Assemblyman Joe Morelle (pictured) and state Senator Joe Robach have announced that an additional $6 million in Aid and Incentives for Municipalities funding for the city of Rochester has been added to the state budget. That's on top of the $88 million already included in the budget.

The lawmakers says the extra funds are being made available in direct response to the City’s need for additional funding to combat the high poverty rate.

And they call it a step in the right direction toward resolving disparities within the AIM funding formula.
