The Buffalo Jills cheerleading squad has suspended all activities until further notice.
Stephanie Mateczun, with Stejon Productions Corporation, is the Jills' director and has confirmed the suspension for ESPN and Buffalo media outlets but isn't giving any details.
Five former Jills cheerleaders filed a lawsuit this week against the Bills, Stejon Productions and their former manager Citadel Communications Company.
The cheerleaders claim they weren't paid in accordance with the state’s minimum wage laws. They claim they worked at times for free and were subjected to lewd behavior at a public appearance.
The lawsuit is third filed this year against an NFL team by cheerleaders.
