Rochester, N.Y. - The city has announced its first Operation Cool Sweep. The program provides city residents several ways to beat the heat.
The Cool Sweep wil last through Wednesday, since temperatures are expected to be over 85 degrees.
The city has opened up several fire hydrants as well as extending the hours of their spray parks.
The city also advises residents to spend time at the community pools as well as the several library locations across the city because of the air conditioning available there.
