Burglar picks wrong house

Burglar picks wrong house

You'd have to call this a case of picking the wrong house.

State Police from Batavia and Genesee County Sheriff's Deputies arrested a Batavia

man Saturday afternoon after he was spotted burglarizing the home of an off-duty

police officer.

State Police said Aaron Clark ran from arresting officers and tried to hide in a

corn field near the Thruway, but he was taken into custody without incident.

Troopers said he had stoeln property in his posession from a home in the area,

as well as stolen credit cards from a third residence in Batavia.

Clark was already on parole on a robbery charge. He's now charged with

parole violation, burglary, criminal possession of stolen property and

obstructing governmental administration. Investigators are checking if they

can link Clark to other burglaries around the area.
